Nerf Elite Ranger

Tonight I got so excited over news about the release of the Nerf Elite RANGER. My first look at the new 90' range, bolt primed,elite successor to the LONGSTRIKE sniper rifle-blaster.

The Nerf Elite RANGER ONE... to be honest I first heard about it earlier tonight while working on another post. I was signed in at  NM&R when I saw this picture and knew I just had to have that blaster! After just a little bit of web crawling to find out more about this new offering from nerf that I must have, I found myself at the Southern Brisbane Nerf Club. S.B.N.C. is a great blog run buy a guy called Rob that I highly recommend. I go there a lot myself, but I guess not enough because I soon realized that my new beloved Ranger was nothing more than a  photoshopped design concept of Robs,based on a rumour, using elements from the Roughcut, Longstrike, Retaliator and Rapidstrike. What a beauty! It breaks my heart it's not real.
Do any of you remember the April Fools MEGA Rhino-Fire gag? Did anybody fall for that?

I'll admit that I did and that is why I was quick to find out about this RANGER when I heard about it.
The thing is these would be awesome blasters, they would not be unreasonable to manufacture. I'd buy them as well as a bunch of other people, even though they were over-priced and it's too bad they're not coming out. Maybe some of you modders will be inspired like me or maybe Hasbro will take notice and put something like this out soon?  Maybe next time I'll post what I originally started tonight?
